Life is such a struggle, from beginning to the end.
One time I lived a fantasy and I thought life was my friend.
I’ve come to the conclusion as I take another dive,
That there’s no way … To get through this life alive.
You’ve got to get your lies straight when you’re out there spreading facts
Or one day life will cut you off at the balls with its ax.
Sometimes you must depart even before you have arrived.
Yeah, there’s no way … To get through this life alive.
Life has a way of tricking you into thinking that you’re there,
And then you turn around and find you really are nowhere.
Maybe if the lights went out, it would be for the best.
I think that death’s a joke simply a long comforting rest.
I’ve had enough. I wish someone would simply give a kick,
To the chair on which I stand with a rope around my neck.
I’ve had my taste of life and no longer will I strive.
There’s no way … To get through this life alive.
If you’ve lost your house and car and job and all your things.
Well things are all they are, so if that is what life brings,
Be grateful you are here and able to survive,
‘Cuz there are ways … To get through this life alive.
I guess if we examine life … Strike up a different mood.
Banish the negativity … A different attitude.
Be grateful for the little things; dig deep to find the drive,
‘Cuz there are ways … To get through life alive.
